We include our kids in church and encourage them to participate. Kids are not the church of tomorrow–-they’re the church of now! So they sit beside us–learning, teaching, and actively participating. They’re not expected to always sit quietly, though. There are toys and crafts to “get the wiggles out,” and a little noise or roaming is not going to bother us. Nursing moms can grab a comfy seat within the group.
Neurodivergent kids (and adults!) are welcome. Though it's difficult to have separate activities in the park district room, we plan to accommodate our kids with different needs in our new home as soon as it's renovated. We'll have quiet areas and activities for kids who need to have their own space. Please let us know how we can best serve you.
