Who We Are
Real Hope is a family of ordinary people on an extraordinary mission. We have a senior pastor, but all of our people are made in the image of God, gifted for purpose, and set free to lead restoration in our community. We are all working together to be the good news of Jesus and his Kingdom in Oswego and beyond.
Our Mission
Inviting people into the story that they were created to live in relationship with their Creator, in community with others, and with a purpose to create good
Real Hope exists to be a hope filled light in the Oswego area community that loves without restrictions, supports individuals and families to grow strong in their faith, and comes alongside people who want to learn more about God’s image and redemption for them and our world. |
Our Core Values
Real Hope works to be a community that embodies: belonging, authenticity, acceptance, renewal , Christ-centered living, diversity, generosity. You can check out these values in more detail on our Core Values page.

What to Expect
At Real Hope, we believe there is nothing more important than connecting people to their Creator, and thereby connecting them to one another, creation, themselves, and their purpose.
We take this purpose seriously, and we invite others to make it their life mission as well. Because of this, we stress connection and not membership. To us, being part of a church is much more than a name on a list. Being part of Real Hope means active involvement in our community. It means participation, not spectating, on a Sunday morning. Our Sunday morning worship is a mix of worship through music, discussion, listening, and activities for all ages. We all learn from one another, as God planned when God said--it isn't good for humans to be alone. |
Kids' Church
We include our kids in church and encourage them to participate. Kids are not the church of tomorrow–they’re the church of now! So they sit beside us–learning, teaching, and actively participating. They’re not expected to always sit quietly, though. There are toys and crafts to “get the wiggles out,” and a little noise or roaming is not going to bother us. Nursing moms can grab a comfy seat within the group. Sometimes, ages 5-12 split off to work on their own projects, and when we met in person, we plan a teaching time especially for them in church.
