BelongingBecause we believe the Church on earth is one, and we are surrounded by the spirit of those who have run this race of faith before us (Hebrews 12.1-3). There is a place in God’s kingdom for everyone who chooses to come.
AuthenticityBecause we believe that the truth will set us free (John 8.32), we live with honesty and integrity without masks. We believe that everyone at RHCC has been freed from the false identities of comparison and striving and given a new identity in Jesus (2 Corinthians 5.17). We believe no one at RHCC is above the honest truth spoken in love. We have a pastor, but we don’t do hierarchy.
AcceptanceBecause we believe that we are all wanderers in need of grace (1 Timothy 1.15), and we will all be transformed to be like Jesus purely by grace (Ephesians 2.8-10), we welcome anyone on their journey of faith, wherever they are.

Renewal
Because we believe that we are given the call and command to feed the hungry, set free the captive, love the unloved, protect the vulnerable, care for creation, and let justice roll down like mighty water (Luke 4.16-21, Amos 5.24), we are a community that serves those in need locally and globally and speaks out for the vulnerable. We will not be silent when God’s images are threatened. God promises a renewal when all will be made right, and that starts now with us.
Christ Centered LivingBecause we believe that God gave his Holy Spirit to empower us to live new lives (Romans 12.2), make different choices, and become what he created us to be, we help one another to grow in this life. We believe Jesus is our savior but also our example for how to live, and we want to pattern our lives after his.
Diversity
Because we believe that when God recreates heaven and earth, it will be filled with a diversity of God's children (Revelation 7.9), and we want to practice that right now.
|
GenerosityBecause we believe that the generosity of God in sending Jesus cannot be matched, we believe it is through that divine generosity we find our own ability to pour it out on the world and the people around us (Matthew 22.37-40).
PurposeBecause we believe that only God can give us our purpose, and the Bible is the truth to reveal that purpose to us when we study it carefully and teach it responsibly. We believe that every person is gifted by God, and every Christian is intended to use those gifts in community to help and encourage one another (1 Corinthians 12.7). We believe there is no greater purpose than to live as an image of God.
HopeBecause we believe that the world needs hope more than just about anything. The Bible is filled with hope because it offers power to change things now and a future free of tears. It tells us about love that never gives up, never loses faith, never loses hope, and endures through all circumstances (1 Corinthians 13). And it tells us that unbreakable love comes from God.
